Educating Esme I enjoyed reading a second part of this book because I got to learn more about Esme as a teacher and person. My favorite part in this section of the book was when Esme switched rolls with one of her students, Billy, in order to show him what it was like being a teacher. I thought it was a creative way help Billy understand that being a teacher is hard work. I really respected the ways Esme teaches her students because she does it in a way to help students understand what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. I personally think that this is what divides the good teachers from the great teachers because I feel that teachers like Esme are more involved with their students when they teach.
